These two wolf masks were carved together as a set. These masks are inspired by one of the most iconic historic Nuu-chah-nulth style of masks, known as Hinkeets. Hinkeets were masks that were always made in pairs and danced together. The Hinkeets are a relative of the wolf, but closer connected to that of a sea serpent, or lightning snake. These masks are a contemporary interpretation of a traditional form.
